So, today has been one of THOSE days.
L woke up at 6:30am again... bad time for him to wake up, makes it hard for me to get a shower before getting G and M up. Oh well, I can handle that. So as I'm feeding him my nose decides it's going to put in it's two cents (or sense ... haha I'm so punny! :P ) and decides to start bleeding.... and not just a little bit. Out the window goes my chance for a shower before getting up the older kids.
As I'm getting the two older kids ready for the day, G informs me that he doesn't want to go to preschool today. "sorry bud, Your job is to go to preschool, Mine is to keep the house running, Daddy's is to go to work, M's is to learn to use the potty, and L's is to grow and be healthy."
M had an accident (icky) at Gma S's house while G was at preschool. At least L got a good nap there.
On the way to pick up G from Preschool My lovely bloody nose decides to make another cameo appearance... :P
Gma decided to take us to lunch which went ok till the end at which point G wouldn't get out from under the table and then insisted that he wanted to go home with Gma S. "Sorry G, we have to go to Sam's for diapers and stamps then home." for M's nap ... though I omitted that part seeing that Missy was right there and I didn't want her to start in too.
G proceeds to have have a snit. refusing to put on his seat belt etc, then at Sam's he proceeds to hang from the cart dragging his feet alomg the floor... grrr. Now I'm definately NOT considering going to Gma S's house again. I warn him to change his attitude or he will end up with a nap as well..... 1.........2.........and at the checkout 3! It's official he is taking a nap.
On the way home he decideds to be good, and tells me as he is getting out of the car "Mom, I'm being good now." uh-huh.... once inside I ask him to use the restroom... snarkdom breaks loose again. I end up carrying my 4 year old screaming to his bedroom.
I then proceed to put M and L down for their naps. Ahhhhh peace...
Nope, and here I thought I might have the rare occasion to catch a power nap as well! Mwhahaha.... Life is a booger! I lay down and 5 min later I hear M playing in her room... ok I'll try to ignore her and pretend to sleep. Thunk. She's now jumping off of her bed. Sigh. Up I get. "sweetie, stop playing and go to sleep please." ... lay down again, it's just a speed bump right? .... 5 min later the phone rings.
"Hi this is Some Obscure Realtor, I see that your MLS list expired, are you planing on listing your house again soon?" It's now up for sale with Assist-to-sell thank you "Oh, well can I sent you my card in the mail so that if you decide to list it with a realtor again you can have my name?" ummmm it IS listed with a realtor it's just not on the MLS for a few.... fine, sure send me your stuff. Kar and I were talking about THOSE days-where NOTHING goes right. And I understand about the naps-no one will call our house for, like, three days straight, but as soon as I lie down for a nap the phone is off the hook! Grr. Hope today is better for you.
Fun day. It's like the kids and everyone else in the world KNOWS when you need a nap, and they do things just for spite! =)
6:30 used to be too early for me too. We sold one of our cars and are living with only one so if I need a car, we all have to get up at 5:15 am to drive 1/2 an hour to drop James off at the train. That's at least 2 days a week. My kids get up around that time on the other days of the week, too. Man, I miss Idaho where James' commute was 5 minutes.
