I Think it May Be Time.

Or it may be close to time for The Energizer Bunny to be in a "big boy" bed. You see, for the last few days EB has wanted to take his nap in Goobers bed, and I have let him, I figure as long as nothing bad happens to the bed (which I would end up cleaning up anyways) Goober shouldn't care cause he is at school.

In order to get EB a "big boy" bed we have to steal Missy's bed. I know that sounds kinda weird, but her bed is one part of the bunk bed and Goobers is the other. So we would need to get Missy a new bed because somehow I don't think Missy would like to sleep in EB's crib with the side taken off of it.

I would go get the new bed now, 'cept mattresses are expensive! Grrrrr.

Does it bring a tear to see your little one growing up? Cheapest place I've found new mattresses is Sam's Club, not that I looked a ton of places. Good luck with that. I hate when the kids outgrow furniture. They're so much more expensive than clothes...

Isn't it funn what the little one's want to do when their older siblings are gone? He looks so sweet! Check out craigslist or maybe some garage sales for a nicer one...just use a plastic sheet.

Try the DI for mattresses. They sell them brand new and are much cheaper than anywhere else. That is where we have bought all the ones for our kiddos.WE have been having the same discussion about Lil Miss. Dang growing kids.

Oh, so sweet! My mom always said keep 'em in their cribs until they start climbing out, but it looks like he's ready, either way.

We've always gotten just a mattress without the box springs-we've bought bunk bed sets that you can set apart, and then you don't need the box springs-that will help in the expense area. (The bunk bed sets we've gotten have been from Shopko-fairly inexpensive.)

Ugh on buying a bed. If you have a trailer or a really long, empty car, you could go down to Ikea in Sandy. Their prices can't be beat. And most of their bed frames are made for just one mattress to rest on instead of mattress plus box springs, which helps on the expense, also. And yeah, it looks like EB is ready. I moved Dylan to a big boy bed wayyyyy too early. He was 20 months or so. He would literally get out of bed and come into the living room fifty times at every nap time and fifty times at every bed time. It was horrible.
