Okay, so I'm starting to think that Summer = stress. Hopefully the whole thing doesn't go this way! As much as I love feeling productive and getting things done I really DO need some time to just veg and sleep... you know, once in a while!
The Summer started off with Jer and I taking off to visit Erika and her fam for a week, which was a total blast and I wouldn't change!!! Then as soon as I got home (okay well, the Wednesday after I got home) I had a Neighborhood Watch meeting that I was in charge of, then the next night a meeting to attend for the kids charter school, then on Friday we went to Yellowstone with family, then Saturday trying to catch up a smidge on things I've neglected around the house and going shopping with Gr Gma P, then Sunday I finally got to the Grocery store.... yes it took me a whole week to get to the grocery store after being gone... and can I tell you! We were OUT of food!!!
On top of all of that Goober has summer school due to him being behind on reading, and me trying to get my butt out of bed to go exercise every morning...
This week I have Goobers Bday party tomorrow which I have to figure out a cake for, I have to try to get volunteers for to bring Grills for the Neighborhood BBQ that is in a couple of weeks (on a day I was hoping to go to Boise... but alas Jer stated a date at the meeting before I could veto it), I really should walk around and inform some neighbors who missed the meeting about what is going on and try to get their information for the Neighborhood Contact list and maybe try to collect some money to pay for the Neighborhood Watch signs for the five entrances to the neighborhood...
Then there is the fact that when Summer school is over (July 1st) I need to have the kids signed up for swimming and call the preschool we use and get Turbo pre-registered for the Fall of 2011...
I feel kinda crappy about not blogging more about our trip to California, but Woooooooooh Mama! Talk about a Jack Rabbit start to the season!!! I hope I can find some time soon to post pictures, edit a small video (which I find hilarious) and write a belated post on that... but for now, you know where I am...
Holding on for dear life as the thing flings me about by the seat of my pants!

I feel exactly like you do, with the "holding on for dear life" thing. I'm sooo glad Dylan's birthday party is over. He's looking forward to Goober's party tomorrow!!
I feel your pain. Summer is way more stressful than school. Bored kids = whiney kids = very grumpy Mama. Grr.
I think my life has rubbed off on you accidentally! Yikes!!! Take a deep breath and sit down with a diet Coke for 15 minutes. It may not help (or I wouldn't be in this predicament either), but you'll feel a whole lot better :)
