Goober likes math too. For homework each night we are supposed to do reading for 15 minutes and "math facts" for 5 minutes. I bought him a workbook because I'm bad at remembering to HAVE him do math, let alone think up things for him to do. I should have probably just bought him flashcards, but he really seems to enjoy his workbook.

Now, I have to admit, I don't know where the rest of the worlds 7 year olds are at... but I was pleased he was able to figure it on his own after a bit! You should have seen him beaming! :)
I'm glad he likes math! I would hate to have to fight him not only on reading but math too...

I'm a math nerd, too. I loved taking a big huge equation, and making it be like, x=4. That's awesome that he's enjoying it.
I wish I could say I loved Math as a kid. I was always in the honors classes, but it would take me four hours every night just to do my stupid math homework. The last math class I took was when I was a junior in high school. I didn't have to take any in college because I got a high score on math on my ACT's. I cannot tell you how glad I am that I didn't have to take college-level math. I would have just DIED. That is so great that Goober is a math whiz.
I love math. My boy loves it too. We are math nerds together and it is great fun! That is awesome that Goober is liking it too.
I just love to "see the light come on" for someone learning something new! Congratulations to you both. It's wonderful he has something he can "shine" at doing. Loving math will benefit him all his life! A caring mom will help him be a well-rounded individual and a caring Dad.
