Oh, the wonderful things.

So I realized I usually sound waaaaaay pissy in my posts. or pessimistic. or irritated. However you want to put that ...

So I thought I would do a post about the things I love about my family. And while the blurbs get shorter as I go down it's only because the person I'm talking about hasn't had as many years on this world. And I'm so excited to learn from them as they get older about all the wonderful things they can do and the wonderful people they can become. So, Here goes.

My Sweet Hubby
Man, this guy does so much for me. He puts the 2 older kids to bed almost every night, he makes dinner when I don't feel up to it. He changes diapers, no complaints. He lets me get a little more sleep in the morning when I'm just plumb tuckered out and Li wakes me up at 6 am. He cleans! and by clean I mean... he's much more efficient than I am. I obsess over perfect cleaning... he just gets it done and knows when people will stop noticing the extra effort. He does toilets. He makes me feel attractive and worth while when I feel most grungy. I love the fact that even though he spends literally ALL day talking on the phone to customers, he still feels the need to tell me about his day when he gets home, and ask me about mine. He plays with the kids and lets them climb all over him. He is a really good dad.

My Sweet Little Goober
I complain a load about my kids. I really need to try harder not to. They really try to be good and do what I ask. Goober is a wonderful kid. He helps out SO much with his siblings (sometimes too much), if I ask him to go get something for Missy My or Little Li he is on it in a heartbeat. If my hands are full and I see Little Li crawling toward something he needs to stay away from, I ask him to pick up Li and move him, and Goober does it happily. In fact he gets really frustrated with Missy My when she doesn't do what I ask her... and tries to enforce it himself. While this can be really frustrating for myself and Missy My, his intentions are really good. He loves to pretend, and he loves to play with both of his siblings... sometimes it's "Spider Man and Mary Jane" with Missy My, other times it just making Little Li laugh as much as possible. he is a really great kid!

Missy My
She is such a mommas girl. And while at times that can get way annoying, she loves to cuddle and she loves to tell me randomly that she loves me. I love this. It's good to be reminded once in a while that my kids DO care about more than just the fact that I make sure they live through the day and that they get sustenance at every meal. She pulls the funniest faces. She is such a character.

Little Li
I am SO glad he is so good natured. Even when he is sick he doesn't complain a ton. he is inquisitive and loves to explore and while that can be a handful, I'm so glad he is engaged in what is going on around him. He is such a cutie.

Oh, and I don't think you sound pessimistic. I think blogs are a good way to just get stuff off your chest sometimes. It's your thoughts, the good, the bad, and the ugly!

I agree with Nat. I've never thought of your posts as being pessimistic. As my friend once told me, "You keep it real on your blog." I hate blogs where the moms pretend like they're perfect and their kids are perfect. Soooo annoying. You share the good and the bad, and that's what makes your blog fun to visit. And when things are bad, you handle it with characteristic grace and humor. I think that's pretty great.
