So recently I have been greatly concerned about Halloween and cold weather coming. I could see no way that
Jer and I could provide costumes for the kids and boots for the cold weather ahead. I was really NOT looking
forward to telling Goober that he couldn't be a Star Wars character and that he would have to pick something we already had on hand. Something like a ghost or a punk...
Well, low and behold GRANDMA to the RESCUE!!!!! :)
She took us shopping for both yesterday. Thanks mom! You really saved my tooshy from angry raging chillins!

Oh, thank goodness for grandmas. (And moms.) My mom got our costumes this year; otherwise, we'd be up a crick. Yeah, we're trying to figure out how we're going to afford three parkas, two pairs of snowboots, two pairs of snowpants, etc. etc.
How funny! I'd like to have grandparents closer, for my kids' benefit, but I got all riled up when my mother in-law sent Halloween costumes a few months ago.
That's something that she's already had a chance to do with her kids, and I want to do it with mine. I guess I see that as a mom perk, not a grandma perk.
Kinda different in your case, though, right? Cuz you went with them.
oh yeah the kids and I picked out the costumes... which I was afraid they wouldn't get this year.
Mom to the rescue! That wookie costume is so cute! Where did you go for costumes?
went just about everywhere. Jo-anns, Fred Meyer, Shopko, then finally Toys R Us. The last one had the most Star wars stuff. Missy is going to be Padme and Goober is a Clone Trooper... now I just have to figure out getting laser guns :)
