Favorite Cereal?

My altime favorite cereal is Life. I SO wish they had a cheap version. Honestly I would buy it more of they did.

As of right now I only buy it on occasion... then my kids beg me to share it with them. WHAT UP?

It's MINE, minemineminemine

....ok, you can have ONE bowl.....

*sigh*

-what is your favorite cereal?-

Oh Spring... Where ARE you?

Yeah, so night before last it stormed.

it not only stormed but it rained and blew, and blew and rained. Which, when you have a tall house with no wind break makes for a very noisy night. Poor Jer only got 2 hours of sleep that night.... well until I let him go back to bed at about 10am till 2. Yup 2.... PM.

Anyhow, I thought that was going to be the worst of it.

I was wrong.

Not only did the stormy, windiness continue... it turned blizzard on us. What the.... I WANT SPRING DANGIT!!!

My dad flew out of town yesterday (I have no clue how the plane took off in that mess) and I invited mom over for dinner... cause hey, we were going to cook anyways, and why make her cook for only her? Anyhow, I was glad she made it to our home safely. Apparently the drive down had nearly white out conditions. Blech

It finally stopped storming. But now there is snow on the ground. Yuck. And even though I think there is a fair chance it may melt somehow I don't think that fence that I scheduled is going to be installed today. Boooooo!

Government

Ronald Reagan once said, "The scariest words in the English language are, 'We are from the government and we are here to help.'"

V - "The people should not be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people."

When is the TEA PARTY people???

Ummm yeah....

So this came home in Goobers backpack today....

So then I was confused. Cause I paid for these.... where did those other pictures come from?

Well apparently I'm one of the only parents not clued in on the scheme to get my money by the schools/photography place. If I want to keep them I have to pay "X" amount of money. Thing is, I already cut them apart, then let Goober and Missy have one each. DOH!!....

Guess I'll be sending in that money, cause the ploy of sending home something with a kid that you haven't paid for and then requiring payment.... yeah, it worked on me.

*Grumble grumble grumble.*

Goobers "Class" Pictures.

Ummm I thought "Class" ment his WHOLE CLASS. Apparently I was mistaken... weird. I always remember class pictures and kinda thought as a parent that one would be nice to have.... kinda hope we get one.... oh well.

And why do kids always put on the doofiest smiles for professional pictures???

Anywho, here it is.

How I Feel About Our Country Right Now....

This guy puts it into words.

I hope that those who don't like Glenn Beck can get past the fact that this is delivered by him, and see the picture that is being painted. Here is the clip, and yes it's from Fox News, again, if you don't like them please try to look past that.

Play Date!

For those of you who don't know, Goober had the day off of school today. This meant I had to find something for the kids to do today to keep them busy, outside of (ya know) playing video games all day long....

So we invited Ken and Ave over to play!

If you remember, Ken and Ave live near Grandma S's house, so they have never been to our "new" house till today.

Goober was so excited when I told him they would be coming, not to Grandma's house, but to OUR HOUSE! I told him last night that they would be here around ten this morning.

This morning when he woke up, first thing out of his mouth was "Are Ken and Ave coming today??!" I replied that yes they were.... then he proceeded to watch the clock from about 8am till 10am (while I was racing to clean my house, because it needed it desperately!)

Once they arrived they had so much fun!

They played with Bounce Putty, and out on the deck, and with the marble toys, and with spider man and iron man! Oh, and they did play the Wii for a short time too.

Oh they had fun! They stayed till about the time EB goes down for his nap and by then I think everyone was done having "fun", I had no problems with Ken and Ave except during the last 15 minutes of their stay, so I think that was a great indicator that the amount of time spent was about right. :) We hope to have them come and play again sometime!

I think the kids won't be complaining too much about being bored today :)

Right Now... Our Government is a JOKE

I don't think that needs much explaining. I think every American I have talked to agrees with this statement.

The problem is NOT the lack of money in our country. The problem is a LACK OF TRUST. Because honestly, just about everyone in government, and a load in big business have proven that they should not be trusted.

We don't trust our employers to keep us, and we don't trust our government to look out for us. Therefore instead of spend spend spending all of our money. We are paying off debt and saving it.... like we should have been doing before.

How about they start working on the trust issue instead of depreciating our dollar more?

I'm pissed.

Misc Thoughts and Pictures from life.

I love the fact that I finally have a child that is a Daddies Boy. Once in a while he is at least :) Kinda nice to have a kid crying for someone other than me sometimes. Not to say I don't love my kidlets. But sometimes being needed constantly can be wearing.

I'm sorry but am I the only one that thinks that putting ETH on a pill is maybe not so good of an idea? First thing I thought of as those pills dropped into my hand was NOT Etcedrin Tension Headache.... (It was more along the lines of an illegal drug) Besides, Who else thinks the a red pill suggests relief? Not I. Red says "ouch" to me. Blue on the other hand, that is a color of RELIEF :) Though that stuff really does mean relief... and boy am I glad! Tension headaches suck.

EB is so funny around dinner time. He's a total grump usually and really hard to cook with (due to being hungry and wanting to be held as a consequence). But tonight he was really cute waiting at the dinner table and smushing his little face against the plate to make daddy laugh.

Oh, and last but not least. The best way to start a day? Not by breaking a favorite dish and in the process not only waking all the chillins up, but gashing your big toe so that no church shoe could possibly fit over that gauze and look pretty. Yay for gauze though, that stuff rocks!

THE END

Oh Goodness, the things men say!

A little back story.

I really try to discourage my children from using "potty" humor. You know, like saying "poop" for no good reason outside of just getting a laugh out of their siblings.

I try to explain to them that the only time you should refer to things like that is when there is a reason.... aka they have to use the potty. They need to say their "bum" hurts cause they fell on something, or some other good reason.

Yeah, I think I need to start lecturing my husband on these SAME THINGS. Ugh.

Here is what happened today.

After dinner Missy asks Jer if he will play with her My Little Ponies with her.

He agrees and the following ensues:

Missy: pretending like My Little Pony is talking "My hair is Soooooo beautiful!"

Jer: Pretending like his My Little Pony is talking "My hair is beautiful too, but sometimes it gets in my face."

Missy:"My tail is beautiful too!"

Jer:"My tail is beatiful too, but sometimes I get poo in it"

UMMMMM EWWWWW

I almost spit the Squirt I was drinking all over my NEWLY MOPPED kitchen floor.

Me:"Why did you just say THAT?"

Jer:"Ummmm your reaction was the best part."

Ugh. MEN.
---
Oh, and for future reference Missy, PLEASE don't ask your father to do "girlie" things he will ALWAYS end up doing something that mortifies mom.

Chop Chop

So the Energizer Bunny's hair was getting really long. Actually I liked it that way for a couple of reasons.... namely his hair is soft, so it actually MAY be conducive to some trendy styles. And on the other hand it is SOFT. :)

Anyhow, I found that I never really took the time to comb it like a should, so often after a nap the poor kid would get a rats nest type thing on the back of his head. Ew.

Well, so I bit the bullet.... I had Jer cut his hair. (and as a side bonus Goober saw and ACTUALLY wanted Jer to cut his hair - which is short already, but he NEVER lets us cut his hair, so next time we will try it instead of taking him to have it done! Yay for saved money!)

Here is the after shot.

*sniff*

Indulgence

Grandparents seem to be a LOAD better at indulgence than I am... that's for sure! As far as kids sitting on my shoulders, I cut the limit off at one. But not Grandpa! Nope, both at the SAME TIME. And Grandma does "Horsey" rides double too.

And then there is the gum.... Oh the gum. Every time my children see Gma and Gpa J they have to ask for gum. And not just gum for themselves, but for the WHOLE family.

Jer literally found 8 pieces between the pockets of Missy and Goober after grandma and grandpa left. ROFL. FOR THE LOVE!!! Can you just imagine Goober with five pieces of gum in his mouth!? :)

Gotta give it to them, grandparents are great!

Oh the power of GRANDPARENTS!

So for a while now Missy has been able to put on her own socks and shoes.... riiiiight? Unfortunately she hasn't been able to get down the whole turning the sock right side in bit. Jer and I had showed her MULTIPLE times. Each without much success.

Every time she would go to get on her socks she would inevitably end up with "Mooooooom, I CAN'T do IT!" and if we pushed the issue she could potentially end up in tears. Fun fun.... actually, not so fun!

Well, we (the kids and I) went up to my parents house for a quick visit and as we were about to leave we came across the same issue again. I sighed and told her just a minute (because I was helping the little guy with his shoes and socks.)

Thankfully my dad jumps in to help. As he started to show her how to make her socks be right side in, I have to be honest, my thoughts were somewhere along the line of "and she will forget before next time" or "seems kinda pointless to show her again." *can you tell my mood wasn't so great?* Anywho, dad proceeded to show her the whole process again and have her do it right after.

And the next time we went to get on shoes and socks... guess what? SHE GOT IT!

What is it about grandparents that makes what they teach so much more memorable!? :) Anyways, I'm thankful for it. Thanks dad!

Money... Moneymoneymoneymoney!

So today I called and canceled a couple of credit cards. You know, so we CAN'T use them :) Anyways... nice surprise, one of them had a bunch of "points" on it and now THEY are sending ME a check for $80!

Yay!!! I love surprise money for ..... refusing to do business with a company anymore? That seams backwards....

Mmmmm

Oh, well. MONEY! I'm getting MONEY! :)
