Hooray! after a long and very snowy winter, one that I must admit, they saw very little sun in, it is warm enough to play OUTSIDE!!
I never realized as a kid that not only I looked forward to being outside, my parents probably looked forward to it too. :) I mean... in the winter, who REALLY wants to bundle up the kids in all their gear just to have them come back inside within 15min tracking all sorts of wintery goodness with them? Then there is the subsequent clean up.
But, NOW all I have to say is "You want to go in the backyard and play?" then "Ok, get on your shoes and your jacket and go outside then" :D no more running screaming through the house for extended periods of time! it's "Go outside and scream to your hearts content!" No more bouncing off the walls it's "Go outside and play tag!" Isn't mom full of fun suggestions now?
I love spring! and my crocuses are coming up, and my daffodils too! And HEY! I think I see a tulip starting over there!!!! That's great kids! You can pick the blooms off of them. It's enough for me to know that they are there! Nothing can go wrong in the spring. Mom is a MUCH happier person.

I too long for the days that the kids can go outside and play and am so glad that those days are finally here. Now I just wish that I had a backyard to kick them out into.
It's been the same at our house. Go outside and run to your heart's content! I love spring.
Oh my gosh, you have a huge backyard!! Um, don't we live in the same city?!? I still think it's too cold outside. My kids have been outside a few times, during warm moments, and I actually got a chance to trim my bushes the other day, but I'm still waiting for more warmth.
I sure wish that we could predict this weather. It seems nice one minute and stormy the very next. Oh well- it wouldn't be Idaho if it weren't like that! I sure agree with you that mom is a much happier person when the kids get a little freedom outdoors!- Amberlee
I agree, I am so glad it's finally warming up.
