If you would like to link to us go right ahead, I do ask though that if you know us in real life that you use my kids blog names if you refer to them. I don't use them in my blog or the title for safety purposes. Thanks so much!

Fight or Flight?

Ok, so everyone knows what I'm talking about when I say "fight or flight" right? You know, the response to being scared snotless? Some people punch their spouses in the nose when they sneak up behind then to lovingly tickle them... other's run away like the energizer bunny on crack. Supposedly it has something to do with adrenaline or some such nonsense.

Well, I think my body missed the memo.

I do neither.

That's right. Maybe my body mutated back to before all of this "survival of the fittest" stuff. Cause you know what happens when I get scared? DO YOU KNOW?

I freeze.

That's right. Kinda like one of those spasmatic goats. 'Cept I don't tip over... I just stand there frozen. (please, oh please don't try to scare me and tip me over... I know cow tipping is fun. April tipping induces rage issues) :D

Kid falls down the stairs= me frozen at top of stairs.

Jer luckily got the genetic memo. When a kid falls down the stairs he is at the bottom BEFORE they are. Totally jumps ALL THE WAY down the stairs and sometimes catches them as they reach it. He's like superman, but instead of leaping tall buildings in a single bound... it's stairs, and he's REAL. That's kinda nice :)

Glad HE got the memo!

What do you do when something startles or scares you?

As you must know from reading my blog, NOTHING ever scares me.

I'm totally like you!! It all started when I went on anti-depressants. My reaction time is really long. We were visiting my sis in Arizona, and she and Dylan were riding her horse, and the horse spooked and bucked Dylan off, and it took me like a full minute to realize what had happened and to react to it. Sad...

I think I'm a flight person. Or, if I hear a bang or something I got running TOWARDS it (like my kids falling). I never get there in time to stop it from happening, though.
