If you would like to link to us go right ahead, I do ask though that if you know us in real life that you use my kids blog names if you refer to them. I don't use them in my blog or the title for safety purposes. Thanks so much!

Poor Kidlet.

Goober has been having a hard time adjusting to all the changes lately. He's been acting up a bit and I worry about what to do for him. Any Ideas?

You know, I think I would just make sure he gets individual attention, like take him on an ice cream date or something. And make sure he knows he's loved (which I'm sure you already do). And maybe let him know ahead of time what he's going to do. Like: Goober, in 20 minutes we'll be going to the store. Then remind him again in 10 minutes, then at 5, just so he's aware of even the small things. Or remind him of the things that HAVE stayed the same-we're still going to the same church and your teacher is the same, etc.

I hope that helps you out. I'm sure all those ideas have already crossed your mind, though.

Hey, don't know if you read my blog, but we're having a pie party tomorrow night (Saturday) at 7 p.m. Please come! Bring a pie-whatever kind, homemade or store bought, and bring your family. And a triangle scoopy thing. :) We'd love to see you! I haven't called you lately because of your move, but I wanted to see how you were doing with everything! So, please come!

Ditto what Nat said about individual attention and coping with change (security) and MAINTAIN YOUR ROUTINES as much as possible with him. Often kids are at loose ends when their world is turned upside down. They need the security routines offer. (Great advice, Nat).

I'm sorry to hear that he's having a hard time. Dylan really struggled when we moved away from California. I echo Nat. But I'm sure you're doing all that already, because you are Super Mom!!
