And It's Begun

In the past I always thought people were a little gung ho when they decorated the day after Thanksgiving. Now I realize that it's to make all of that stuff worth putting up! How easy would it be to justify not putting it up at all when it is only two weeks till Christmas?

So I joined a lot of other people in doing the same thing. Now all I have to do is get the shopping done *ugh* and beat Jer into putting the lights on the outside of the house!

Oh, I'm all about decorating the day after Thanksgiving. Or on Thanksgiving Day itself. (Decorating burns calories, yeah?) But this year my husband insisted we waited until December 1st. I made it until the night before.

Heh heh he ha! We've been decorating the day after Thanksgiving for years now. However,we skip putting up lights on the outside of our house. The only place we put them that can be seen from outside is in our windows. Afterall, the best holiday experiences usually occur inside the house anyway:D

We got all the Christmas stuff out on Friday and finished it all up on Saturday, including the outside lights. The only thing left is to buy a tree - a real one! No Fakey McFakertons allowed in my house! Next to Halloween, decorating for Christmas is the best.

Hey, do you want to come over and put up my lights if Jer beats you to it at your house???? I don't know if that will get done this year-we may end up doing just bushes or something, especially since it's been so cold! And I really don't want to put up the tree, but I need to unless I want my kids to go into therapy later in life because of their scroogey mom. *sigh*

Wow, what a good attitude, treating light-putting-up as a little cute contest between man and wife. I've been putting up most of ours, and I'm pissed about it. :) Hahaha! I'm hoping Ben does the ones on the house so I don't have to, but I'll bet you a million bucks I will have to do it. Blah.
