I'm amazed...

about how many people I know personally who are disaffected from the Church.

People who are good people. People who were (in most cases) just trying to do all they could ... were looking into things to find out how to be better within their faith...

People do not suddenly become "bad" or "sinful" because they find that they no longer believe... They really don't. They are still the same people that you loved before, they have just found that it no longer works for them. Be that because they just find they are no longer inclined to go to church, or because they find information that doesn't jive with the things they were always taught, or even because every time they go they end up angry.

The best way to make people "Anti" is to ostracize them and make them feel judged.

“People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they’re not on your road doesn’t mean they’ve gotten lost” — Dalai Lama

Apes, I sure hope nobody is making you feel badly about your choice to kind of step back and look at other options for religion. This post makes me wonder that. Some of the most righteous people I know are not within our faith. I don't think you're "bad" for evaluating your feelings. I still want you to know that I'm here for you, however you worship. :) Your comments and our occasional (and we need to make them more than occasional) visits have really meant a lot to me. You've been a great listener and a great support. Your friendship means a lot to me and won't change, no matter what you do on Sundays.

You have to do what is best for you and what makes you happy...and if that means changing religions or having no religion, then fine. I will still hang out with you (or blog with you). :) And I don't think you could really be "sinful" if you tried. You are awesome.

You guys are awesome. Nah, no one has come out and said anything expressly negative to me about it, then again only people that read my blog and are in immediate family really have a clue about it. I just have found it surprising how many people that I personally know who have had very bad experiences with deciding that the Church is no longer what they need and having others automatically assume they are "less" because they do not have a testimony of it.
I haven't had this yet, but wouldn't be surprised with having someone say something to me, simply because there are a lot of judgmental people in the world... and that includes some within the LDS religion. Every organization has it's Zealots and it's Jack-asses after all :)

And when someone does start treating you funny for your decisions, make sure that they don't back into the railing and injure themselves in an effort to not be influenced by your wickedness ;) (inside joke)
