Scanning, Scanning, and .... what the...

Ok, so today I finally decided that I need to scan all of my old school film pictures onto my computer then after that onto an actual CD for safe storage. I have boxes of these pictures...
Ew. Anyhow, I finally decided it was time, since I'm trying to avoid other huge projects right now. You know, like de-boxing the garage so that we might actually fit a vehicle in there. I mean WHERE DID WE GET ALL THIS CRAP? Anyhow, as a way of procrastinating I decided to take care of the old pictures... starting with the ones from the 9th grade. Ugh.

I know I am a bit behind, but honestly we have never owned a scanner till recently. My parents took pity on me a few months ago, right before their trip to AZ and gave me there old one... Actually, I think that may have been more for my dad's benefit than mine. Kinda hard to scan things in from the mail and send them to AZ when you don't own a scanner, eh? :)

Anyhow, today I've been scanning photos, while going through last years filing.....

Wait. WAIT! DON'T JUDGE ME!!! I AM NOT A PRODUCTIVE PERSON. :P On the rare occasion that I do get an inkling to do stuff, gosh darnit I'd better do it! Cause it ain't happenin' again for another millennia honey.

Ok, back to train of thought....

As I'm going about minding my own beeswax, and the kids are arguing with each other in the background about who said what wrong.... I hear this noise coming from the scanner.

BWMWAWAWmmmmmmmwwwwwww ah ah ah ah

Holy mackerel is that thing going to EAT my pictures?

Nope turns out it's only a noise, no harm done to the pictures. Even the ones on the computer turned out good.

So other than that noise all is good.

Though Jer does insist that it sounds like computer constipation. niiiiiice honey.....

Insert Witty Title Here.

In a my ideal perfect blogging world my children would pose very picturesquely for pictures of asinine things so that I could do very descriptive and picture filled blog posts.

Unfortunately this is NOT my ideal perfect blog world. You know this because if it were, I would have something entertaining and incredibly witty to say EVERY freakin day and I would have all sorts of entertaining (yet not permanently disfiguring) things happen all the TIME. But I don't. So meh!

Anyhow. Last night I pulled out all of Goobers old clothes, to go through and decide which the Energizer Bunny can actually fit in and can wear. I was totally mad cause I missed some WAY cute outfits for EB that he could have worn while we stayed at the In-Laws house.... grrrr. Oh well.

This morning I put EB in one of said outfits. If my kids were cooperative I would have a picture of him in the whole outfit. But I don't.

Anywho, Missy decided she wanted his jacket from said outfit and coxed him out of it. Then she proceeded to put on said jacket.....

Don't you love the semi drugged out tongue look? It's gets the point a crossed though. :)

Oh, and for those of you that were wondering, as far as valentines and Jer went.... I got him a toolbox. He's needed one for a WHILE, and it made me feel less guilty about the water softener :)

Oh CRAP!

So Jer stayed home from work today. No reason, just because he has been trying to get "demand time" ie. time off just cause you want it. Oh, but there is a catch! You have to get the person to answer YOUR phone line at work instead of the fifty bazillion OTHER people trying to do the same thing while there are still enough "spots" open for that day. Only a certain number of people can have any given day off. And Jer has been trying to be one of those people every day since early January! Holycrapola. What a pain in the Buttocks!

Anyways, Jer got the day off :)

So he took some time this afternoon to do some "Valentines" shopping. We aren't usually very big on holidays. Gifts are great, but we aren't overly stuck on them, if you know what I mean. For the most part our feelings on holidays are that we can take them or leave them....

He came home and had to give me my present early, I think this is due to the fact that at this moment in time there is no place in our house that you can safely hide anything without me finding it while unpacking everything else! Anyways, I was greatly surprised when he showed me what he got for me....

A WATER SOFTENER!!!!!!

YIPPEE HOORAY!!! LESS CLEANING! LESS DRY SKIN! LESS MONEY SPENT ON SHAMPOO ETC. ETC!

Need I mention he thinks water softeners are of the deviiiil? As in "the frew-its of the Dev-il"? He hates soft water. Which is one of the main reasons that I was both surprised and touched by this gift....

I honestly wondered if I would ever have one and the niceties that go with it. aka not having to make Goober put Vaseline on his eczema spots every time he changes clothes.... and not having white shirts etc turn gray anymore! I grew up with a water softener and I can hardly wait to get it hooked up!

YAY!

Oh Crap.... now I have to figure out what to do for HIM for valentines.....

crap,crap,crap!

Happy to go to Church!

So yesterday I took my two older kids shopping for new church clothes... I should have taken EB too but he has had the Crud this week and I figured a nap would be good for him...

Anyhow, Goober was NOT very pleased with me for dragging him shopping, while Missy was all girl and was excited to go. :) Needless to say, they were happy to go to church today (they would have been happy to go anyways due to the "friend making" opportunities that church brings about).

So here is Goober in his new duds:

And Missy in one of her new dresses:

And here is EB (he didn't go to church today due to aforementioned Crudiness) just cause he's cute and I kinda feel bad not including his picture when I included one of both of his older siblings)
Notice the length of his hair, pretty long I know, but I just can't bring myself to cut it!!! I have before, but now it's more thick and I think of all of the trendy possibilities I have there. For any of you that have ever touched Goobers hair, you know that his hair is course and thick and that only short, shorty, short hair really works on him due to it being incredibly stubborn on top of it. Well, EB's hair is not as course and seems to have potential for actually laying down when I comb it with water... so I guess we shall see. I know, I know... I'm over thinking the whole 18 month old hairstyles thing. But where I've never had brothers, I've always been a girl (GASP!), and Goobers hair is so very uncooperative, I see potential for experimenting where I haven't been able to before.... MwhaHAHAHA!
Ok, so this post has now degenerated to the point that I feel the need to cease and desist. So TATA!

The CRUD

Oh, about three weeks ago Goober went to school and brought home a lovely cough. And he decided it was so special he would share it!!! With not only our little family but the in-laws too and I think he may have managed to share it with my parents as well. How sweet is that? He is so sharing!

Anywho, since we got the CRUD (which is the perfect name for it.... if you don't know this already I hope you only have to take my word on it!) we have all been hacking up our lungs day and night.... and I get the added pleasure of chasing small children around with a tissue because they have "green elevens".

You know, those boogers that make two straight green lines from their noses to their mouths, therefore making the number eleven? "Green sevens" are worse though.... ew smears :P

Though I would much rather this than pukies in some ways, I would actually prefer the pukies in other ways. I mean, How long is the average pukefest? At most a week right? This nastiness has lasted at least three with no end in sight.

I'm starting to really wish for spring. Mostly because of the icky nose factor.

And We're In!

And there are boxes EVERYWHERE... :)

So, we are back at our old phone number... the one we had at our old house. But unfortunately we have a really irratating buzz on the phone line... so if you feel the urge to call, beware!

I'll have to call the phone company and get it fixed.

In the meantime we have Stake Conference tomorrow and I have no CLUE where the stake building even is. I guess I could call and find out... but I'm too lazy. Well, either that or I'm reluctant to drag three young kids to church for what they would see as two full hours of sacrament meeting and not even the promise of the reward of primary/nursery afterwords. We will see what happens.

So anyhow... I'm all boring and whatnot in this post, so I shall stop wasting all of your time... and stop procrastinating unpacking more. :) Tata till another day!
