Quirky Kid

Anyone have a guess as to what this is? It's part of a toy, I'll give you that.

No idea?

Well, it's the inside of a glow bug. A glow bug that is now permanently without it's innards due to a very small little boy who has to know how things work. And not only does he need to know how they work, he will then get REALLY upset when you try to put them back together. So the glow bug remains dissected for good. :D

Welp, after several weeks of simply not going, we are ready for church. And don't the kidlets look cute!? :) They are all in church clothes they have never worn before so they look extra snazzy!

Missy

So, tonight we went up to my parents house for a BBQ and to have cake and ice cream for Missy's birthday.

Here is a pic of the princess girl!

And here is a pic of her reaction when Jer told her we were going to hit her on the head with her presents and make her guess what they are....

*snicker* not a very nice way to tell a four year old about that tradition! Needless to say we didn't do that this year :D

Kindergarten Graduation....er Program?

Yeah the school said that it was "Kindergarten Graduation" but really it was a end of year program, which I was happy to see anyways. :) cut kiddo!

YAY!!!! I Can't believe it!

Goober FINALLY let Jer cut his hair without a MAJOR fuss. All we needed was a new trimmer and to allow him to play with it a little so that he KNEW it wasn't going to hurt!

Hip! Hip! Hooray!

Loner or Just Normal?

I think I'm odd.

No, I know I'm odd. But I think I may be odd in the friendship arena too.

I can't decide if it's just that I'm standoffish or that I am uninteresting or maybe it is the way I handle people. I think it may be the later. You see... every time I move I loose contact with EVERYONE I lived near. No kidding.

I have a few close friends who follow me through my moves but seldom did they actually live near me beforehand. I think this is due to the fact that I have a hard time telling between acquaintances and friends when they are in really close proximity to me. Mainly cause it's really not a conscious choice of theirs to stay in touch with me or vice verse. So when I move I get caught up in the whole "moving" activity and fail to keep in contact. Then when I finally come out of the "Organize, throw out, where in the world am I going to put THIS!?" mode it has been a while and would be kinda weird for me to out of nowhere call the people who lived near me beforehand. I mean, now I don't have the convenient "Can I borrow an egg" or "I have a question about insert activity already attended here".

I know it would be much easier if those people called me first, cause then I would know they still wanted to be friends, but they seldom do.

Now, I'm not feeling bad for myself here, just self analysing. Do most people stay in contact with people in their old neighborhoods? Am I odd this way or normal? Were they really all acquaintances and nothing to be all analytical over? I dunno.

I think I'm now confused.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET GIRL!

PS I found my camera! yay

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Oh. My. Goodness.

I wish I had my camera to take a picture of what Missy did last night.

For those of you that don't know, she is a major night owl. Now, where Goober has school in the mornings and Eb tends to rise early too I have to have a pretty early bedtime for all of them. I really can't justify letting her stay up while making her brothers go to bed early. In the next couple of weeks this will change due to school being out, I plan to move their bedtime back quite a bit, but if I do that too early Goober will be a major grump due to having to get up early too.

So, anywho...

Missy usually just plays quietly in her room until she finds it within her to actually go to sleep. I'm fine with this because she isn't causing any problems and if she isn't tired what can I do?

Well, for the last couple of nights she has been leaving her room.

First is was just to use the potty and get a drink. Ok, I can handle that. The next night I noticed that she had been playing in the master bathroom. Probably getting a drink (cause there IS a cup in there) but it turning into playing with the water a little. Not a huge mess, just kind of amusing mostly.

Well, last night was a bit different.

EB was having a hard time going to bed (probably because of a late nap due to going to the zoo). Goober opted to try going to sleep on the couch cause EB was so noisy and Goober was tired and they share a room. So after a while of EB hollering I brought him downstairs with Jer and I. After a little while I figured he should be getting tired and I should try to get him back to bed again.

I came upstairs and found Missy curled up on the chair next to the couch where Goober was asleep. I told her to go back to her room and tucked her in again. EB fell asleep shortly thereafter.

About an hour later I decided to go upstairs (I can't remember why) and smelled something sweet. Hummm. I figured it had to be something Missy had gotten into, cause she was the only kid awake.

I found that she had gone into my bathroom and gotten into my thick expensive lotion and squeezed it into the cup next to the sink (and a little on the wall). And where is the bottle? hm. oooooooooh kay. messy and a little irritating, I can still handle it but I should probably talk to her about it. I glance in her room and don't see her....

BUT I do see that she has coated her stuffed pink puppy in my lotion as well and gotten it ALL OVER her carpet. Grrrr. Now I'm mad. I also find not only my big expensive, now empty, lotion bottle on her dresser, but also a small empty baby lotion bottle as well. Double Grrrr. I go looking for the little twink. When I double back to her room I find her curled up on her bed with lotion ALL OVER HER. Gah.

Now, you have to consider that my kids don't usually make these kinds of messes. They have never written on the walls with crayons, or markers. They are usually really conscious of big messes. So I'm not used to this, AT ALL. So I haul her downstairs to dad so that he can keep an eye on her while I proceed to TRY to clean up the mess.

Yeah, didn't really come out of the carpet that well (probably have to shampoo that), and who knows if the puppy was savable..... it's still sitting in the washer waiting for me to check on it.

What I wouldn't have given for my camera!

I can't find my camera!!! I think I'm going to die.

Seriously! can't find the thing.

I thought it was in my purse. Nope.
Not by my computer either.....

Please let it show up in an uber odvious place that Jer thinks up when he gets home!

Gah!

A garage is for WHAT?

For parking in? Heaven forbid!

Ever since moving in to the new house our garage has been packed with STUFF. Loads and loads of STUFF.

Well, Monday I proceeded to get rid of a LOT of said stuff. this has continued until today.

I have taken 4 van loads to Deseret Industries, 1 van load to my sister-in-laws house, and 1 van load to the dump. And though the garage is not completely redeemed (can't park the car in it) I can now park the van in it. yay!

I was going to do a garage sale, but when you don't have any real space in said garage to sort and price it becomes a bit overwhelming. So I donated it. Cause I'm lazy like that.

I do think that I may have to take another load to donate though. But at least now I feel like I can actually find the stuff that I'm looking for while I may still need it!

I'm Baaaaack.....

and the wallets is going is critical for a bit. But HEY at least my computer now works and I didn't loose anything cause I backed it all up before I took the thing in! Yay me!

Turns out my hard drive was dieing. Replacement = $79, Labor = $5 Billion, and reloading the OS? That would be $5 Trillion..... yes, with a capital. Darned the machine not coming with the Vista CD's! Darn Darn Darn. Could have done that part between Jer and I.

Oh well, I now have a well functioning machine that is cleaner than it has EVER been. No kidding. I have five icons on my desktop. FIVE. I don't even have the kajillion "buy me" icons that the thing came with! Yippy!!! So actually I'm kinda glad the thing was wiped clean, cause now I have all this RAM to use up again! lol

Ok, now I'm going to start loading all of my backed up stuff to mar my beautifully clear desktop, cause hey, I do need to do finances again at some point, ugh.

Funfun

Taking the Computer to the Doctor.

I shall be doing this tomorrow.

Fore every time I start up the darned thing it is now has to do a complete scan of files for "consistency" ... whatever the crap that means in computerese....

Anyhow, taking it in to see what it's going to take to get it fixed... that and maybe they can turn my cookies back on, cause I can't view Facebook due to turning it of in some random and roundabout way and then promptly forgetting how I did it.

Hopefully this will not be painful.

I love computers...

I love them till they start to have issues that is. Then I hate them.

No, really, because as soon as they start having issues I start dreading the day that I'm going to have to replace something.

I think my hard drive is starting to have a slow and painful death.

The End.... hopefully just for now. I think I can squeeze a few more uses out of this thing.

:P
