Little Li bloggy name change.
KK, so now that I have had time to get to know Little Li better :) aka as in more than just a couple of days (when I first posted about him) I've decided to change his blog name. No longer shall he be known as "Little Li" but as "Energizer Bunny". The kid is constantly going! CONSTANTLY. Till the battery runs out... then he crashes hard. So it seams to fit :)

Well Child Check for Li
Ok so Little Li went to his year well child check today. He is 20lbs and 4 oz. He is 29 and 3/4 in tall. And his head is 18 in around. His is higher on the growth charts this time, which is good, I was a little concerned about that. I've also been a little concerned about his development (the kid doesn't clap). But apparently everything is A-okay, which I'm NOT going to complain about! I think the reason he doesn't clap is the same reason he doesn't hold his sippy up... he just plain doesn't want to! he will hold his sippy when I put his hands on it... but otherwise likes to try to make me hold it, ugh.
Anywho, he is a happy and active kiddo and we love him to death. I'm so glad he is part of our family!

WRONG!!!!
ok, so Li isn't better.... UGH. He had another fever this morning. And now his eyes are red and he has a rash!!! WHEN WILL IT END???? :D
I did take him to the doctor.... who told me.... can you guess????
"It's probably viral"
then processed to tell me that if it continues through tomorrow that I need to bring him in again... with a urine sample. Greeeeeeat. How fun is that going to be to collect? I mean, they gave me this fun time little baggy thingy... but collecting urine from an 11 month old? HA!
He told me the rash was "vague" and that there were a few things to watch for... just in case.
Well, I'm going to cross my fingers and hope this all just GOES AWAY! :P

Stuffed up.
Jer looked at Little Li this morning and said "he looks stoned".
Poor kiddo!!! Red eyes and a runny nose are NOT fun... I just hope he doesn't have the headache I got with it all. :P

Little Li Crawls
OK, so I tried REALLY hard to catch it on camera. He was a bit evasive. He will crawl a short distance and then flop on his tummy cause he gets too impatient and wants to get there faster... and resorts back to the army crawl :)
I had to tempt him with the camcorders lens cap to get him to crawl even this little bit while I caught it on film.

Yay!!! and Poor sick kiddo.
Yah, I think that is going to have to wait a couple of days.
Little Li slept in this morning... hooray! or at least that is what I thought. Turns out the kid isn't feeling well. He didn't want much breakfast and then proceeded to puke all over the floor when I set him down to go get Missy My dressed so we could take G to preschool. Poor little guy.

On a Beautiful Day...
So yesterday and today have been bright and shiny (I'll be it windy...but hey, this IS Idaho)! Yay! Hopefully spring is actually here.
Unfortunately all of my kids got a smidgen sunburned yesterday so after spending a small time this morning out in the sun, instead of lather them up in sun lotion (I don't have any spray on ...yet) we decided to play inside for a bit.
These are my kids favorite things to do inside when they can't be playing outside.
Play Lego StarWars
Take Uber-long baths.... wonder who she gets that from!? lol

And generally be happy... though he is starting to practice being on hands and knees and bouncing back and forth.

Subways' Employee From Hades

So we decided to go to Subway due to the fact that Big G wanted a sandwich. Off we go... Once we all got there and got everyone seated (or at least the kidlets situated) we go and order our meals. Somehow the "Tuna" sandwich I ordered for the kids turned into a "Club" ... how that was misheard who knows! Oh well, they will eat that too so no biggy. The staff didn't seam like the brightest crayons in the box, if you know what I mean, and I didn't want to challenge them too much intellectually so I didn't say anything and my kids ended up liking the sandwich just fine anyways :)
The Cashier (aka Employee from Hades) was a little prickly with my MIL because my MIL wanted to make sure the order was all there and correct and that she had paid for everything. Again, something that can be brushed off right?
So we are having a good conversation and the kids are eating away. Big G was really good and ate all of his meal pretty quick and Missy My pulled her sandwich apart as usual (I wonder if she is going to be one of those adults that have issues with any food touching the other on the plate. She pulls every sandwich she eats apart and eats all of it individually).
Big G mentions he has to use the potty. OK can do.
Missy My says she has to go too. alrighty come along!
Get the the women's bathroom and it's out of order. Sign says "Use Men's Bathroom". Alright. Again no biggy, things like that happen.
Into the men's room all three of us go. Gavin sits down and after doing his business pulls my attention to the fact that there is no toilet paper. Crap.
"You guys STAY here for just a sec, mom is going to go get some TP."
Out I go and politely get an employees attention and tell her "there is no TP in the Men's bathroom. I need some for my son."
Then MIL and Az get my attention and tell me they think Little Li is dirty too. OK. All in stride. Nothing I can't handle.
Crap no Wipes in the bag, Az can I borrow some? Sure.
I go check on Big G and Missy My and tell them "mom is still trying to get some TP"
Missy My "I have to peeeeeeeeee!"
"OK honey hold on!!!"
Again I go out to get TP. Look and see that nobody is working on getting me any. I know that if I don't get some quick there is going to be a mess....
I state loudly "Would somebody PLEASE get me some TP for my son!?"
Employees scramble to get me some. Meanwhile.....
Elderly employee with red spiky hair and icy blue eyes (aka Employee from Hades) decides to step in. Who, by the way, is sitting next to where I'm standing taking a break. Why she didn't get up and get me some TP? who knows.
"You don't have to YELL at them. They ARE busy."
"I wasn't yelling. I was just trying to get some TP."
Yada yada yada... YELLING at THEM ... blah blah
"I wasn't yelling."
another employee hands me napkins .... fine I guess this will have to do! .... wait a minute, here is another employee behind her with actual TP. YAY!!!
I go and hand Big G TP and step back out because by this time I'm fuming because A) who did she think she was? B) why didn't she get me the TP? and C) I WASN'T yelling and I wanted her to understand I was just urgent!
Me to EFH "you try having a kid that is potty training and one that has frequent accidents and see ....
"IT DOESN'T MATTER! You need to learn to control yourself!!!"
!!!!!
"And what are you going to do to me!!!????" (I could have handled this better I must admit.)
and I walk off to go back to the bathroom to my two young children carrying Little Li on my hip. Behind me I hear her call me an ass. HEY!!! HOW did she know my initials????!!!! ROFL
This is ridiculous at this point so I go and take care of my children. Thank Goodness Missy didn't have an accident... though I have to admit I probably would have found a little satisfaction in telling EFH to go clean up the urine on the bathroom floor. I change Little Li on the floor (no changing table as usual) and get all of our hands washed and head back out.
I completely ignore EFH and go look for a comment card... none. Great. So as my MIL and Az are helping me to manage my children as we are ready to leave I grab a napkin and write on it.
"Need to keep bathroom stocked with TP. Tell elderly employee with red hair to hold her tongue when someone asked URGENTLY for toilet paper after already asking for it once before for her 2 potty training children.
-April Lastname Insertemail@address.here"
And I race out of there children in tow.

Oh, Maaaaaan!
It's currently 8:30 am..... Big G woke up at 7,
and Missy My... well I think she WOULD have slept till 10! Unfortunately I had to wake her up to take G to preschool... heavens, I opened her blinds and turned off her music and opened her bedroom door at 8 and still not a stir! She must have been REALLY wiped out!

Early mornings and not so pleasant suprises!
Ok, so this morning Li woke up before the other kids. I had a hard time waking up and figured it was just the fact that I was up till a little past midnight last night... right?
Well, up I get, and I go in the kitchen to get Li something to eat.
Well, I open to blinds, because, hey! who doesn't like natural light right? Wait a minute.... NO! Not again!
So THAT's why I had a hard time waking up! Grrrr... If this stuff kills my flowers I'm going to be TICKED! :P

Yup... Mothers intuition strikes again....
So it's official. My kids have RSV.
Little Li was supposed to have his 6 month checkup today but because he was caughing and wheezing a little I had them change the appointment to a regular sick check. Needless to say, he has RSV, which means that Big G most likely has the same thing and Missy My seams to be coming down with it as well.
I'm glad we didn't go to church last Sunday and share all the fun....
Anywho... Li now has to have breathing treatments every 4 hours for the next 2 days... fun fun.... you try keeping THIS thing on or even near a 6 month olds face!!!

Sick Kids and Preschool
So Saturday Little Li and Big G started to get a nasty cough.
Sunday L got the boogerfest going needless to say we didn't go the church.
This morning called G's Preschool to let his teacher know that he wouldn't be there. Come to find out that on Friday there were 3 kids at preschool with the same cough. Why is it that some people seam to think that if their kid is not puking all over the place uncontrolably that it is okay to send them to ANY place with other children?
Grrr... I just hope this stuff isn't the dreaded RSV crap... Anyone know how to tell the difference in young children??

P.S. After putting Missy and Li down for naps I came downstair to find the G had put himself down too... in front of Star Wars :)

P.P.S. Big G was so cute earlier. As he was playing with the Friggits on the Fridge he says to me "Mom, whenever I do it like this it has ISSUES" LOL Leave it to him to not be a NORMAL child and say "problems" but instead to take my lingo from my customer service days and use the more politically correct "issues" :)

I'm thankful for...
G & M being happy with cold cereal for breakfast.
Gavin putting his dishes in the dishwasher.
G being ok with letting me excersise instead of letting him play Lego StarWars.
M sleeping in
G & M letting me get a shower without me having to get out to tears
L being happy to play on my bed with toys while I shower
M Loving to play with her little brother
G actually playing Lego StarWars instead of just killing the characters repeatedly just for the fun of it.
G wanting to help me get M to do what he wants her to, his intentions are good.
M being ok with Transformers rather than Dora
M's ability to climb well, even if it is to the top of the couch
M not screaming all the way through time out
L's happy smiles
The fact that my kids would die for Mac and Cheese
Nerds and the fine motor skills they inprove while eating
L's good naps
M's nap today (yeah time for mom to read Sunday lesson!)
G's love of baths
G's love of sponges and the splashes that they make while keeping said splashes in the tub.
G's love of Spiderman
M's love of Charlottes Web
G's willingness to let his sister watch Charlottes Web before Spiderman after finding out mom wasn't going to make that decision and the TV would be turned off if they could not come to an agreement
M's love of hearing mom read her a story
They fact that they play pretty well with each other.
L's laughs
M finally being able to tell us exactly what she wants when she chooses
The fact that G listens to her even if it continues to make him upset
The fact that G doesn't always let M get her way (she needs to learn compromise)
G & M's love of blanket forts
G's curiosity about food
G & M's desire to set the table.
G's love of bananas (even if he asks for them right before dinner is done)
G & M BOTH eating ALL of the dinner (HORRAY!)
M's FINALLY FIGURED OUT WHEN TO RUN TO THE POTTY TO PEE!!! HORRAY... now all I have to do is try to reinforce that without "forcing" her to go!
M's love of baths
G never wanting to miss anything
G & M's desire to say family prayers every night :)
Their love of new books even if they came out of a box of diapers
The fact that they went to bed REALLY well tonight. No fussing
Needless to say. TODAY WAS WONDERFUL. M only got 2 time outs all day and G got only 1!!! That and G was way cute saying "P is for Please Pass the P-P-P-Popcorn!" whenever he went close to the fridge (there are a bunch of letter magnets and a fun game thingy on it... meaning the fridge!)
