Movie Obsessions

So Goober has a new movie he wants to watch constantly. It's a movie that his Grandma S has (and the kids will be getting from a certain man in red towards the end of December). It's the perfect "quiet" movie because of the near nonexistent script. Most of the movie you can watch without sound and get what is going on.... yeah for those times when the whole house is asleep except for the kids and myself (weekend mornings people!) and I try really hard not to let them wake people up on one of the only "sleep in" days of the week.

The movie is Wall-E.

Goober is obsessed enough to even draw pictures for your entertainment value... and this is a kid that does not like to color! And he drew both of them at least seven times... and this without prompting!

Anyone know where MY kid went??? :D

Happy Thanksgiving!

I have so much to be greatful for there is NO WAY I could list them all. No possible way. Though life has problems and wrinkles sometimes I forget to remember all the wonderful things... though they outweigh the negative things 100 to 1. What a great day Thanksgiving is, if only to remind us of all that we have that is good!

Ok Fun New Tag... Cause right now my life has NOTHING GOING ON. Nothing. Really.

Ok, so since my life has nothing much going on except lugging screaming kids around and trying to keep track of them as the trek all over the neighborhood .... I decided I would pick up on Nat's tag that she created. :D

So this tag is all about who I think are HOTTIES (outside of Jer OF COURSE.... ummm DUH!)

TV ACTOR

On this one I have to go with Joshua Jackson.... mmmmm .... ooooo... ahhhhhh. Yeah he was on everything from Might Ducks back in the day, to Dawson's Creek, and now Fringe.

MMMM ahhhh and when he smiles she is SOOOO CUTE...

Sorry, reverted back to the teenage years there for a minute :)

CLASSIC ACTOR

Gene Kelly (mostly cause everyone else KNOWS Marlon Brando is hot.... and I didn't want to pic the same twice).

No runner up, cause honestly, I don't know many classic actors (I KNOW!!! SINNER! yup, that's me)
.
.

MUSIC ARTIST

Any of the guys from Tally Hall. Actually, I didn't pick them cause they are hot, sorry... I picked them cause I like their music. I don't think of musicians by how they look usually. Heck, usually I don't KNOW how they look...cause I usually hear them on my car radio. WAHOOOO! So they win, cause they are spunky and creative and I like them.

No runner up, sorry.

Nicole Kidman hands down. She has always been my idea of beautiful. She looks like she could be made of porcelain. Very classic beauty.

They've Made So Many Friends!

So I mentioned in an earlier post that Goober had made a good friend.

Well, apparently he has made a few. He has three good friends within walking distance for him (which means within 5 houses from here). Most of them have siblings except of course for Bee.

I've notices the Goober doesn't usually want to play at his friends houses though... I was a little concerned about that for a couple of days. Bee's mom mentioned that he seams to miss home whenever he is at her house playing and after only a short time comes up with an excuse to come home and play here.

Well, yesterday Ken came over to play for a while, then he and Goober decided to go play at his house. Goober asked if Missy My could come with them. I said that was fine as long as Ken was ok with that. Ken quickly asked Missy if she was going to be too loud (because his little sister was taking a nap)... Missy agreed to be quiet when needed and off they went... all three of them.

Today Goober asked if he could go to Ken's house. I said yes, he asked if Missy could go with him. Again I said yes... but only if he kept an eye on her and if she was trouble if he would walk her home. He agreed and off they went.

He seams a load more comfortable at his friends houses with Missy there. I'm so glad that he loves his little sister so much. I'm so glad they are such good friends. I'm also very grateful for the fact that I know all of Goober's friends parents from when we used to live in this neighborhood three years ago. It's so wonderful that such great people stuck around.

---

PS the house we offered on yesterday basically said they weren't willing to negotiate. Guess we will be here for a little bit. Which isn't such a bad thing. We can work on paying off our van while we wait... heck, maybe something in this neighborhood will come up for sell in our range and we can live near here and not leave the kids new friends....

House Hunting

Wow. There are a LOT of crap houses out there. A LOT.

Guess that isn't a surprise to most of you though!

I honestly wonder how people can fit things into some of them. I mean... 5 bedroom house with a dining area the size of a pea? Where do all of the bodies the FILL those bedrooms EAT?

There are loads of houses without a master bathroom. Dumb as this sounds, it never occurred to me. I always grew up in a house with a master bathroom. And always lived in one at that. Guess it's not THAT big of a deal though... as long as there is a bathroom somewhere near right? Less cleaning. YAY FOR LESS CLEANING.... especially of bathrooms.

Wait a minute... Jer is usually the one who cleans the bathrooms. Ummm. YAY FOR JER!!! That works... right?

Ok, and what up with houses with plumbing in WEIRD places? Like... random pipes sticking out of the family room wall. Now, mind you, I understand that some people like to have bars in those rooms.... but NOT where these pipes were. Strange. Laundry in the dining area anyone? Not in a closet near the dining area, mind you.... actually in the dining area. Mmmmm.

What about the master bedroom only being big enough for a double bed. ???? I think at this point in our (read "MY") "largeness" Jer would end up on the floor if we slept on one of those.

Anyhow. Today we actually found a house we really like. Think we may offer on it tomorrow. Wish us luck :)

I Love Big Families.

Absolutely love them.

Recently Jer's Aunt had her mother pass away. Her mom and siblings live here in town but she, her husband, and her kids mostly live in Utah.

Well, due to her mother passing, they needed to come up here for the funeral. I believe that all 7 of Jer's cousins were able to come for the service.

HOW COOL IS THAT!?!?

I have only two sisters and it's like pulling teeth to get us together.

Anywho, Jer's Aunt and about four of his cousins and some of their kids all came to spend the night here. There were over 13 extra people in the house last night and can I say it was SO FUN.

I love to watch big, close families and how they banter with each other and tease, how well their children get along, and more. I honestly think people that have families like this tend to take them for granted. (I'm not saying these guys do though! They even had a sister and her family who came clear from Australia, yes.... not that little country in Europe... that HUGE country down under)

I have always quietly wished for a big close family... who knows, maybe some day I'll have one. :)

All the cousins were so nice, and even though I'm not an immediate family member or married to one I didn't feel at all out of place or excluded.

Most of the Girl's sat, talked and generally hung out most of the evening. Most of the guys got into playing board games and the like. Heck, Jer was up playing games with one of his cousins till 3:30 am. :D

I think that Jer's Aunt and Uncle were worried about overwhelming us with all the people. I told them we could handle it, it was after all only one night :) Honestly, I think we could have fit all of the siblings that stayed the night in town without much problem. I appreciate their being concerned about it though, thoughtfulness is always a nice thing. I really hope we have an occasion to see them again. It's nice to feel a part of something like that, even if I AM only a married in cousin.

AHHHH HORMONES....

Ok, I think I may have just picked a fight with one of my sisters because I'm PMSing.... and therefore more nutzo that usual. Grrrr. I hate it when I'm stupid and rash like that.

Instead of becoming a psycho hose beast, can't I opt out and just sleep all week???

----

Update: YAY my sister is cool. She's not mad at my PMSyness :)
