I'm not able to blow my nose. I'm not really sure way...

Maybe it's because the passages from inside my head aren't conducive to it, however they do allow me to sniffle effectively.

Within the last couple of days though I've actually been able to blow my nose. Probably due to the large amount of crud stuck in my noggen!

I have a sinus infection. Never had one before that I can remember...

They suck.

Apology for Prop 8

Elder Marlin Jensen apologized for Prop 8.

Interesting to say the least.

I'm sure it took a great deal of love and courage for him to say that... even if the apology was a personal one and not an institutional one. To seemingly step out of line with the opinion that the Church seems to be putting forward could cost him dearly, but I'm glad he did it. Even if all it accomplishes is showing people that holding your own opinion separate from the Church is not an indication that a person is "evil" in some way.

You may be surprised how many people are vilified, and their testimonies questioned (even if they are strong testimonies... I know a few liberal Mormons who are constantly having people question their faith) for being in disagreement on political issues.

Anyhow, thought some of the rest of you might be interested.

Dog

Nope, dog didn't work out... Turbo is too young apparently... or maybe we just aren't "dog people"... not really sure, just know it wasn't going to work. He was a pretty good dog though...

SCHOOL!!!

So Saturday was the schools openhouse :) And then today Goober and Lissy took off for the big first day!

And yes, I'm aware that these don't look much like "first day" pictures... I think it's the lack of backpacks, but HEY no backpacks means no daily homework... and I'm ALL FOR that! :)

And in other recent news, we are "trying out" a dog for a couple of days. Here, meet Whiskey... he's a mutt, but a pretty nice one and he isn't going to grow any more... I do have to brush him and if we keep him I'm going to have to cut his hair too. Sooooo we shall see....
