This is a really interesting tag. You're supposed to grab the nearest book, go to page 123, find the fifth sentence, type it onto your post, and then tag five friends. So here it is:
"I showed Leah where you where you could get into the alligator pear tree and she boosted me up."
ok so I admit that the 6th sentence... the fifth was really boring! "It was the best thing that happened." just doesn't make you think the book is anything special. It's from The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. And I just started reading it... so I really have no clue what those sentences are even about! :) It's a book that I'm reading for book club and when I noticed that Kar tagged me it wasn't just the closest book to me, I was literally reading it...
We'll see if I think it is good or not in a few days. I'll let you know. :)
KK now my turn to tag. mmmm. Erika, Holli, Tandee, and Kara.. if you want to. And yes I know that isn't 5 people! Sue me!
If you would like to link to us....
If you would like to link to us go right ahead, I do ask though that if you know us in real life that you use my kids blog names if you refer to them. I don't use them in my blog or the title for safety purposes. Thanks so much!

Oh, the wonderful things.
So I realized I usually sound waaaaaay pissy in my posts. or pessimistic. or irritated. However you want to put that ...
So I thought I would do a post about the things I love about my family. And while the blurbs get shorter as I go down it's only because the person I'm talking about hasn't had as many years on this world. And I'm so excited to learn from them as they get older about all the wonderful things they can do and the wonderful people they can become. So, Here goes.
My Sweet Hubby
Man, this guy does so much for me. He puts the 2 older kids to bed almost every night, he makes dinner when I don't feel up to it. He changes diapers, no complaints. He lets me get a little more sleep in the morning when I'm just plumb tuckered out and Li wakes me up at 6 am. He cleans! and by clean I mean... he's much more efficient than I am. I obsess over perfect cleaning... he just gets it done and knows when people will stop noticing the extra effort. He does toilets. He makes me feel attractive and worth while when I feel most grungy. I love the fact that even though he spends literally ALL day talking on the phone to customers, he still feels the need to tell me about his day when he gets home, and ask me about mine. He plays with the kids and lets them climb all over him. He is a really good dad.
My Sweet Little Goober
I complain a load about my kids. I really need to try harder not to. They really try to be good and do what I ask. Goober is a wonderful kid. He helps out SO much with his siblings (sometimes too much), if I ask him to go get something for Missy My or Little Li he is on it in a heartbeat. If my hands are full and I see Little Li crawling toward something he needs to stay away from, I ask him to pick up Li and move him, and Goober does it happily. In fact he gets really frustrated with Missy My when she doesn't do what I ask her... and tries to enforce it himself. While this can be really frustrating for myself and Missy My, his intentions are really good. He loves to pretend, and he loves to play with both of his siblings... sometimes it's "Spider Man and Mary Jane" with Missy My, other times it just making Little Li laugh as much as possible. he is a really great kid!
Missy My
She is such a mommas girl. And while at times that can get way annoying, she loves to cuddle and she loves to tell me randomly that she loves me. I love this. It's good to be reminded once in a while that my kids DO care about more than just the fact that I make sure they live through the day and that they get sustenance at every meal. She pulls the funniest faces. She is such a character.
Little Li
I am SO glad he is so good natured. Even when he is sick he doesn't complain a ton. he is inquisitive and loves to explore and while that can be a handful, I'm so glad he is engaged in what is going on around him. He is such a cutie.

WRONG!!!!
ok, so Li isn't better.... UGH. He had another fever this morning. And now his eyes are red and he has a rash!!! WHEN WILL IT END???? :D
I did take him to the doctor.... who told me.... can you guess????
"It's probably viral"
then processed to tell me that if it continues through tomorrow that I need to bring him in again... with a urine sample. Greeeeeeat. How fun is that going to be to collect? I mean, they gave me this fun time little baggy thingy... but collecting urine from an 11 month old? HA!
He told me the rash was "vague" and that there were a few things to watch for... just in case.
Well, I'm going to cross my fingers and hope this all just GOES AWAY! :P

Better?
Wow, Sorry It's been a few days since I last posted. As you can tell we had the wonderful Chuck at our house, then Little Li got a nasty fever that lasted for at least 2 days and I'm still cautiously awaiting it's return today. Though I hope it's gone for good!
I mean, I love the kid and I love it when he cuddles with me, but for over 48 hours almost constantly holding him, there comes a point that I just want him to be content to play on the floor for a few minutes! Well, this morning it happened and while I don't necessarily love chasing him away from the CD rack (his favorite place to make a mess), I'm happy he seams to be feeling better at last. Hooray!
Though this weekend I will be crossing my fingers that nobody else gets sick for a while, cause as a mom who has been taking care of sick people off and on for over a month.....
gosh darn it, I'M TIRED!!!!!

I Thought Wrong.....
OK, so I thought that warm and/or hot weather was supposed to end visits by Chuck!?
Apparently I was wrong.
Goober is sick...
AGAIN
Just as soon as the kid starts feeling better it all starts again.
And if you thought Chuck was no fun in cold weather, just wait till he comes up in hot weather. Ugh.

Stuffed up.
Jer looked at Little Li this morning and said "he looks stoned".
Poor kiddo!!! Red eyes and a runny nose are NOT fun... I just hope he doesn't have the headache I got with it all. :P

6 Unspectacular Quirks About Me....
1. Here goes.... first I'm really nutty about the placement of my glass at the table. It seriously drives me a little nutty when it's placed wrong. I could care less about the utensils or even the plate... but the cup? Nope, that needs to be at exactly a 45 degree angle from the top of my plate towards the right hand side. Jeremy used to tease me about this by sneakily moving it mid meal to see how fast I would notice.... grrr. I've since become a little less anal about it. I think having kids will do that to you! :)
2. Ok, you know those moments in the day when you get really tired? Almost predictably? Yeah I have 2. One in the afternoon and one at about 10:30 pm. The latter one is easily remedied right? Just go to bed you say? Nope, not me.... I push through the darned thing. MOST of the time at least... last night I actually succumbed to it and ooooooo it felt so good to sleep that long. Somehow most of the time I talk my self out of it cause I have things I want to do. But whenever I do go to bed "early" I'm really glad I did. :)
3. Window Wells. Yup, you got it. I'm WAY paranoid about window wells. I don't want my kids ANYWHERE near the darned things. They scare the CRAP out of me. Ask Tandee, she's seen "Paranoid Mom" make her appearances...
Kids steps within 2 feet of window well
Me: GET AWAY FROM THE WINDOW WELL!!!!
Kid looks at me like I'm insane
Me: YOU'RE GOING TO FALL IN AND BREAK YOU NECK!!!!
Kid slowly backs away because some strange freaking out woman has replaced mom
Me: Away from the window well, that's right.... THANK YOU!
I know, the likelihood of them falling in is probably not very high, but every time they get near one I have visions of them tripping and flying into the window well head first.... GAH!
4. I LOVE to sleep in but as soon as I'm up I HAVE to shower... I hate feeling grungy in the morning and a shower is the best thing. I cannot hang out in my PJ's for over 15 min without feeling "icky". Now in the evening? That's different, love hanging out in my PJ's then :)
5. Now, I don't know if this one is normal or not... I go through funky social stages. for a few months I'm outgoing and want to do EVERYTHING and be everywhere socially and then BAM all of the sudden I'm hermit women. I just want to stay home and read... all the time... like nonstop. Does anyone else do that???
6. Oh, here is the last one... man those are kinda hard to come up with. When I'm reading if you want my attention you almost have to take my book away from me. You can scream and yell, but believe you me... it probably won't make a difference. I'm THAT good at tuning EVERYTHING out when reading. Jer says to get my attention he almost has to "beat me".
I tag Kar, Andrea, and Arin... have fun!
