Camera Tricks

KK so I asked Jer to take some pictures of me in the outfit I'm going to wear to my class reunion tomorrow. And they ended up looking strangely like those funky "Before and After" weight loss photos. LOL all because of how I was facing. Obviously I like the after shot better! LOL (keep in mind that these were taken at bout 10pm so my hair and makeup are very tired from a long day of chasing kidlets)

KK so here is "Before" (BLECH!)

Jer says I don't look nearly that big in real life (Pray oh PRAY that he is telling the truth and not just buttering me up!!) And here is the "After"

I lost 2o lbs is 5 SEC!!!! YA! LOL No really it's amazing what difference the direction you face your hips makes doesn't it? Too bad i can't walk around like that all the time without people thinking I'm a total nutcase! I can see it now.... "What is up with that lady? Do you think she has back problems or something? Maybe fused discs?"

Anywho, here is my favorite picture of me from that little picture fest. He doesn't take many pictures so I seldom get to post pictures of myself (outside of the new hairdo every 2 months!).

Well Child Check for Li

Ok so Little Li went to his year well child check today. He is 20lbs and 4 oz. He is 29 and 3/4 in tall. And his head is 18 in around. His is higher on the growth charts this time, which is good, I was a little concerned about that. I've also been a little concerned about his development (the kid doesn't clap). But apparently everything is A-okay, which I'm NOT going to complain about! I think the reason he doesn't clap is the same reason he doesn't hold his sippy up... he just plain doesn't want to! he will hold his sippy when I put his hands on it... but otherwise likes to try to make me hold it, ugh.

Anywho, he is a happy and active kiddo and we love him to death. I'm so glad he is part of our family!

Super Mom

And No, I'm not talking about me. Today, My mother took myself and my kids to lunch then to the park and tomorrow I get to have some time off from being a mom. It's so nice when someone is willing to save you from your own children!

My mother is truly a super mom. She always seams to know what I need, my kids adore her, and she never lets me feel like I'm a pain the the behind (though I'm sure I am sometimes). I only hope that I can be even a shadow of the kind of mom she has been to me.

Happy #5 Jakers!

So Saturday after getting the van (which made us have to bring by birthday presents later) we headed to Nat's house for Jakob's birthday party! Nat did a great job with the party, the kids had fun and she didn't seem stressed out (major bonus!).

First the kids played "Put the heart on Ironman"

Then they got to color Ironman pictures (Missy calls him "Other"-man)

Then they got to make necklaces out of fruitloops with Ironman "hearts" on them :) here is Goober doing his Ironman pose.... Jakob did a great one that I missed getting a picture of but I have to say... Goobers wasn't half bad either!

Then they played Tag with silly string! Dylan got totally hammered by the string but seamed to love love love it.

Jakob opening presents!

Jakob was so good, he even let Goober try on his Ironman mask!

Jakob and his Cake!

Petey doing an Ironman pose! Gooooo Petey!

Traded In.

So Saturday we traded in the truck... as much as we loved the truck (it was loverly) we knew that our monthly income needed a break and if we happen to have another kid in the next 5 years we aren't going to be able to fit our family into a "traditional" vehical any more. So we decided to get this...
And it's really nice to not hear "Moooooooooooooommmmmmm, Missy won't leave me alone" or "Goober is pushing me!" or "Ouch Li!!! He pinched me!!"... and now I can do carpools if needed :D

Goober

So we were eating lunch today when I tell Goober to smile (I don't take enough pictures of him in my opinion) and he gives me this! I think "man what a strange kidlet"... then realize... that expression is familiar.

HOLY CRAP!

That's MY expression!

I used to do that expression... and still do sometimes when I'm in a goofy mood. I guess that even though he looks a lot like Jer (vertual clone if you look at pictures of Jer when he was young) he still takes after his mom sometimes. :D
