Sacrament happened. (there was a lot of off-key singing. cringe)
Gospel Doctrine happened. (Class member states that Adam had no choice -really?- but to follow Eve in eating the fruit. Hmmm... What if he did? Nowhere does it say he immediately followed her in eating the fruit. Now THAT would have been an interesting discussion.)
Relief Society happened. (Where in the world is the Christmas lesson!?!?! Come to find out, the men had one... think I'll go to their class next time *snicker* would love so see the reactions to that!)
The end. :)

Today in our sacrament I played the piano as a duet with the organ; there was a lot of off-key playing today in our sacrament thanks to my part in that song. Boy oh boy.
Adam totally had a choice in eating the fruit; he just realized if he wanted to fulfill having the rest of Heavenly Father's children to come to the earth then he'd have to be with Eve.
And what's up with RS not having a Christmas lesson? Maybe they were behind with their lessons in the manual or something.
The real question is, why didn't Adam man up and stop Eve from eating the fruit? He was with her and he just stood by and watched, then took it when Eve offered it to him.
Genesis 3:6 (KJV) And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband WITH HER; and he did eat.
Or there's the NIV: When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, WHO WAS WITH HER, and he ate it.
Adam completely disobeyed God and he wasn't even the one being pressured by the serpent. Silly man.
No lesson on Christmas? I so would have joined the men's class too. I love the fact that Todd and I get to go to classes together (and we get to pick our classes too.) It helps draw us closer to God together.
Maybe you'll have to take over that relief society lesson next Sunday and give a belated Christmas lesson. :)
I've often wondered how long they were there hangin' out before the fruit eating incident.
Days, weeks, years, millenia?

Our RS didn't do a Christmas lesson, either. They just followed the manual. It was very spiritual, but I was in a Christmasey mood, ya know?
